About Sophie

As a psychologist and Vedic meditation teacher, I help people find inner peace, balance, and happiness from within.

From a young age, I have had a deep interest in the human psyche. After years of study and work experience, I discovered how meditation and psychotherapy complement each other. In my private practice, I combine Western psychology with Vedic philosophy and techniques to support clients in a holistic way, fostering lasting results and growth.

Education and work experience

After completing my Master's in child psycholohy, I worked for several years as a clinician and family therapist in forensic child psychiatry.

In 2019, I took a short break in my career to fulfill a long-cherished dream: traveling. The years that followed have been a period of personal growth, change, and self-development, during which I explored the spiritual aspects of life and my own inner world. This has led to a more holistic approach in my work.

In 2021, I completed my first meditation teacher training at the 1 Giant Mind Academy. Since then, I have been working independently as a therapist and meditation teacher.

From early 2023 through November 2025, I also worked in addiction care. First at a rehab center in Thailand, and subsequently in addiction care in the Netherlands.

I am also trained in treating psychotrauma using EMDR.

In February 2025, I completed an intensive one-year training course to become a Vedic Meditation Teacher with Jonni Pollard.

What you can expect from me

Much of what keeps us stuck exists because we are afraid to feel it.

We think about it, we analyze it, we try to understand it, but we avoid the direct encounter with what is. In my work, I invite people to stake that step: not to get stuck in the past, but to discover what changes when you no longer have to push away what you feel.

In my work, I utilize both psychotherapeutic techniques and Vedic meditation. To me, these are not two separate worlds. Depending on your needs and what is required in the process, both can be incorporated into the therapy.

Honest and warm at the same time
I'll tell you what I see, even if it is confronting. Always with care and love.
Present and open
I follow your process, not a protocol.
Beyond the mind
I work with what takes place beneath the mind. In the body, in consciousness.
Depth over surface level.
Better slow and thorough than fast and superficial.
